| Schools from the Mobile area performed exceptionally well in the recent
Computational Science EXPO held at the University of Alabama in Huntsville
on May 4th. Schools from the area that participated were the UMS
Wright Preparatory School and the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science.
UMS-Wright Preparatory School received seven of the fifteen first through
fifth place categories in the high school division. Five Mobile students
scored in the top fifteen on the written computational science test given
at the EXPO. UMS Wright students took all three places in the student website
competition.
The RCI. Ltd., Award was presented to the ASPIRE Regional Training Centers for their dedicated service to the ASPIRE program, their colleagues, and their community. One ASPIRE Regional Training Center is located in the Mobile area – Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, Dr. Albert Lilly, Teacher. Teachers participating in the statewide EXPO:
