
The Technical Papers MUST be submitted to UAH by 5:00 PM April 15, 2003. The completed technical paper may not exceed 10 typewritten pages in two-column, single-spaced format, not including the appendix and title page. Middle School projects - Division I, or Division IIAbstract - Should summarize the paper in about 200 words and stimulate you to read more of the paper. Introduction - A broad overview of the problem, the Introduction describes the problem completely and shows relevance of the study. It should be complete, concise, and easy to understand and should give references to other work in the field. Problem Description - A concise description of the problem. It sets the context, the rationale, and the boundaries of the problem. Method of Solution - A detailed description of the mathematical model and solution approach. Results - A description of the results of the execution of the mathematical model. Conclusions - Specific and valid conclusions that can be inferred from the results. Future work - (optional) A description of the next logical steps of the problem with possible extensions to the problem. Bibliography or References - Bibliography is a complete list of written sources as well as mentor contributions. Standard citation formats should be observed. One Appendix including code, examples of raw data, and well-documented graphs generated from data.
