     A Level I Summer Institute will be held at each Regional Training Center. The following schedule will be observed for the summer institutes for the summer of 2001:

     It is important that you carefully review and sign the statement below, which summarizes the responsibilities of the school and participating teachers.

I understand that:

  • the minimum equipment need for participation in the ASPIRE program is access to a computer and the Internet.
  • participating teachers are expected to implement the ASPIRE material in the classroom;
  • the participating teachers are required to attend a training institute during the Summer of 2001, and are expected to attend the two follow-up workshops (one in the fall and one in the spring);
  • teachers are encouraged to attend the EXPO in the spring and display the projects carried out during the school year;
  • I will support my teachers in the ASPIRE program by providing release time during school hours for planning, if possible.

     I certify that all parts of this application are accurate, and I certify (based on current staffing plans) that the teachers listed will be teaching at this school during the 2001-2002 school year and that they will be in a postion to and allowed to train students in ASPIRE materials and assist these students with their projects.
